We're so glad you're considering Beach Cities Montessori for your child. Our enrollment process is straightforward and begins with a simple first step: come visit. Once you've toured and decided we're the right fit, we'll walk you through everything else based on current availability in your child's age group.
The Enrollment Process
Here's how enrollment works, step by step:
Step 1: Schedule a Tour
Enrollment always begins with a campus visit. This gives you a chance to see our classrooms in action, meet our teachers, ask questions, and get a feel for whether Montessori and Beach Cities Montessori specifically are the right fit for your family. You can schedule a tour by calling (424) 360-0166, emailing info@beachcitiesmontessori.com, or filling out our contact form.
Step 2: Immediate Enrollment or Waitlist
After your tour, if a spot is available in your child's program, your child can start right away. If we're currently at capacity, we'll add you to our waitlist.
If a spot is available:
We'll provide you with an enrollment package to complete, schedule a classroom visit for your child to meet their teacher and explore the space, and coordinate a start date that works for your family. Most children begin within 1–2 weeks of enrollment.
If we're at capacity:
We'll give you an admissions application to complete, which includes basic information about your child and family, your desired start date, and your preferred schedule (half-day or full-day). Along with the application, there's a $250 non-refundable registration fee that secures your child's place on the waitlist.
Once we receive your completed application and registration fee, your child is officially on our waitlist. Waitlist priority is determined by the date your application was received, so we encourage families to apply as early as possible — even if your desired start date is several months away.
Step 3: Admission Offer
When a spot opens in your child's program, we'll reach out to offer admission and provide you with a full enrollment package. This includes tuition details, our parent handbook, health and emergency forms, and everything else you'll need to get started. We'll also schedule a classroom visit so your child can meet their teacher and begin to feel comfortable in the space before their first official day.
Waitlist FAQs
Waitlist length varies by program and time of year. Some families are admitted within a few weeks; others may wait several months. We recommend applying as early as possible, even if your desired start date is far out. This ensures your child's place in line when a spot opens.
The $250 registration fee is non-refundable and secures your child's spot on the waitlist. This fee is not applied toward tuition — it simply holds your place in line until a spot becomes available.
Yes. If your plans change, just reach out and let us know. We'll update your application and keep you in your current place on the waitlist.
If we offer admission and your timing has changed, we understand. You can decline the offer and remain on the waitlist for a future opening, or you can withdraw entirely. Either way, the $250 registration fee is non-refundable.
Yes. Siblings of currently enrolled students receive priority on the waitlist. If you have a child already attending Beach Cities Montessori, let us know when you apply and we'll note it on your application.
Tuition & Financial Information
Tuition details are provided during your tour and again in your enrollment package once a spot becomes available. We offer flexible payment plans and are happy to discuss your family's specific needs during the enrollment process.
